9/02/23 Press Run Interview

Interviewer: How did you come up with the name "Contract Loophole"?

Eel: It's up to interperation. I mean what is a contract? Maybe it's the contract of life? What is a loophole? I took the name from a book I read back in my monk phase back in mongolia. I remember signing a contract for the rights to the name of um... [Pause] Yeah so contract loophole comes from my previous group or something I broke up for creative differences or something. It was like The Beatles, Possibly worse than The Beatles break up um... but it was a three piece instead of four but we had four at some point but we kicked him out because of some kinda dispute inside some like um some uh like a group... you know??

Interviewer: Would you care to talk about your previous band?

Eel: Yeah we had a few albums like I said it was like The Beatles it was made back in mid '22 with a few pals we had an album... or more like an EP it was around 30 minutes long we had 2 singers / song writers, heavily inspired by The Beatles. Me and my buddy [Redacted] [Pause] ...you might have to cut the name out oops. Yeah so after that we kicked our instrumentalist out for some personal reasons and then I made an album about it because I was so pissed and hurt about it or something. Yeah so after that we all came as a group and made a self titled project which was our first album as an actual full band in a somewhat studio.

After that album we kind of went off the deep end after "self-titled" I made a solo project again for the band and a lot of the stuff you'll here off that record will defintley sound like the stuff on our upcoming EP.

Interviewer: I hear a lot of people say your music is heavily inspired by the early 17th century baroque music scene, do you agree with that or not?

Eel: Yeah I can understand where those claims come from I mean like we're basically a Claudio Monteverdi cover band.

Interviewer: [Unintelligible]

Eel: What?

Interviewer: Yeah so that was Contract Loophole frontman "Eel"!!! make sure to purchase there upcoming Demo record soon

Eel: Thanks for having me man I can't feel my legs

Interviewer: Bye.
